Meet the Band

Eric Bariteau
Drums/vocals
Eric brings decades of experience behind the drums along with a long history of performing in both original and cover hard rock and metal bands.

His playing is rooted in power, precision, and hard-hitting energy, influenced by legendary drummers Tommy Aldridge, Nick Menza, Vinnie Paul, Eric Carr, Peter Criss, Lars Ulrich, Bill Ward, and John Bonham.
His musical influences include Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, and KISS—the bands that helped shape his powerful, unmistakably heavy style. Although drums are his first love, Eric also enjoys playing guitar, has a natural talent for songwriting, and adds background vocals to round out the band’s sound.
When he’s behind his favorite Mapex kit, Eric is exactly where he belongs: driving the rhythm, bringing the thunder, and making sure every song hits hard.

Dorian Borges
Lead vocals
Dorian is a powerhouse vocalist with years of experience fronting bands including Str8 On, Sonic Vibe, and Broken Halo, and recurring guest vocals for bands such as Hammerdown and Black Jade. Her talent has taken her to the finals of national competitions such as Star Search and The Voice and earned her multiple Vocalist of the Year honors from local publications, including Limelight Magazine and Motif.
Â
Influenced by the soul of Susan Tedeschi, the mystique of Stevie Nicks, and the raw power of Lzzy Hale, Dorian brings dynamic range to Blacktop Alibi—though when she’s offstage, chances are she’s listening to some 80’s metal.

Chris McLoughlin
Bass/Vocals
Chris had decades of experience as a frontman then picked up the bass eight years ago. Most recently, he played with the local hard rock band Back 4 More.
His bass influences include Justin Chancellor of Tool, Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne, and Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox. His vocal influences include Mike Patton of Faith No More, Phil Anselmo of Pantera, and Randy Blythe of Lamb of God.
Away from the stage, Chris enjoys hunting for obscure curiosities and oddities, cruising on his Road Glide, and exploring new places and restaurants.

Ben Scudder
Guitar/vocals
A Berklee College of Music–trained guitarist, Ben lives for crushing riffs, soaring solos, and the unmistakable power of rock and metal. Inspired by players ranging from John Petrucci to Tommy Emmanuel, he brings both technical precision and versatility to every performance—usually with his favorite PRS Custom 24 in hand.

His experience includes performing in rock and metal bands, along with more than a decade of gigging in party and wedding bands. While he can play a wide variety of styles, rock and metal will always be where he feels most at home.

Away from the stage, Ben enjoys the simple things: catching a great live show, trying a new restaurant in Providence, taking a walk in nature, or sharing good conversation over coffee.
